DATES: Feb 5 to 15, 2009, March 12 to 22nd

Participants should arrive on Feb 4th or 5th.  We will start the retreat the morning of the 6th. Accommodations are included for the nights of Feb 5-14,  and we will finish the morning of the 15th.  As we may all have different  travel plans that day, we will finish with a morning meditation and Qi Kung practice and then have a final breakfast together before traveling on.

DAILY ITINERARY:

*     8 AM – Qi Kung practice

*     30 minute meditation

*     Light breakfast

*     11AM to 1:30 PM - Yoga practice

*      Lunch

*    Recreational free time, which may include:

o       Massage

o       Swimming

o       Shopping

o       Optional sightseeing adventures
 (offered every other day)

*    Dinner at one of the great local restaurants

*   Evenings may include ceremonial dancing and entertainment.  The tickets to three traditional dance performances are included in your fee. Some nights we'll relax and learn Thai massage and have free time. There are dance and jazz clubs around the village.

Please advise me if you want to share a room.

Please send me a list of any food sensitivities and any physical problems. Although there is a lot of inexpensive transportation we will be doing a fair amount of walking.

WEATHER: Expect warm to hot days 30C or 85F. Most days will be clear and sunny but as we are on the tail end of the rainy season we could experience some afternoon showers. Sometimes it can be muggy during the day but generally very pleasant.

CLOTHING: As the Balinese are Hindu visitors should be sensitive to acceptable clothing styles.   Although this town is used to western style dress for trips to temples etc women must wear long skirts or sarongs, blouses with sleeves and often a sash around the waist. I have usually bought an appropriate wardrobe when I've arrived very reasonably priced. Good sturdy walking shoes or sandals for trekking are a must.
